A little bit of context
Music for change
Candy Trees is the artistic project of Francesco
Lodola.
Unique in his kind, he is capable of expressing high
levels in both physics and music.
Between playing concerts in festivals and venues
and writing scientific papers, he is also involved in
activism.
The upcoming album “Change it all”, written
and produced entirely by Francesco in his bedroom,
follows this direction. Social and climate justice
are main themes of the record, sometimes hidden in
more intimate lyrics and sometimes expressed more
explicitly. This encourages the listeners to change
the world into a little bit better one, with a positive
attitude.
This blends his effort as a PhD in physics on solar
renewable energy, his vegan lifestyle and activism,
and his intrinsic artistic nature.
The album is anticipated by a live album,
“Live for Palestine”, containing live versions of the album songs.
The music project is piano pop,
where fascinating pop vocal
melodies blend into innovative
neoclassical piano parts
within an electronic pop
structure. This creates a
totally innovative sound and style.
During live performances,
Francesco plays with a band,
which gives him the freedom to
add piano solos and
improvisations to the
structure of the pop songs,
enchanting the audience with
memorable melodies. He can
also play in solo acoustic sets
with only the piano.
